Bespoke joinery in Edinburgh, designed to outlast the house itself.
Joinery in Edinburgh, hand-built — kitchens, bathrooms and wetrooms, doors, UPVC windows, media walls, fencing and decking. For discerning homes across the city and the whole of Scotland. One craftsman. No shortcuts.
Everything Barry builds.
From hand-built kitchens and bathrooms to wetrooms, doors, UPVC windows, media walls, fencing and decking — the full range of joinery a home needs, done by one craftsman across Edinburgh and Scotland.
Bespoke Kitchens
Designed around how you actually live and built to fit your space exactly — solid carcasses, hand-fitted doors and finishes chosen to age beautifully. Not flat-pack. Furniture for the room you use most.
Bathrooms & Wetrooms
Full bathroom and wetroom builds with the joinery done properly — fitted vanities, panelling, tanked wet zones, concealed storage and a finish that holds up to daily life for decades, not seasons.
Doors & UPVC Windows
Internal and external doors hung and finished correctly, plus UPVC door and window installation — fitted square, sealed properly, weather-tight and built to last.
Bespoke Joinery, Media Walls, Fencing & Decking
The pieces that make a house feel considered: fitted wardrobes, media walls, libraries, window seats, staircases and panelling — plus fencing and decking for the outside. Drawn, made and installed by hand.
The proof is in the finish.
A growing collection of completed projects across Edinburgh and Scotland.
A growing collection — more photographs of completed kitchens, bathrooms and bespoke pieces will be added as projects finish.

Before you get in touch.
Do you work across Edinburgh?
Yes — across the city and surrounding areas. From New Town and Stockbridge to Morningside, Leith, Bruntsfield and Trinity, plus the wider Lothians.
Where else do you work?
Beyond Edinburgh, across Scotland — the Lothians, Glasgow, Stirling, Perthshire, the Borders, Fife and the Highlands. Happy to travel for the right project.
How does the process work?
A short conversation first to understand what you have in mind, then a site visit to measure, discuss materials and finishes, and agree a brief. From there you get a written quote covering design, materials and installation. Once approved, work is scheduled, built and installed by Barry directly.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on the scope and on the current order book. A fitted kitchen is typically several weeks from sign-off to installation; smaller bespoke pieces can be quicker. Honest timelines are given in writing at quote stage — no optimistic promises.
What does it cost?
Every project is bespoke, so prices are quoted individually after the site visit. As a guide, this is hand-built joinery for clients who want it done once and done well — not a flat-pack alternative. The written quote is itemised and there are no hidden extras.
Do you work directly, or through a builder?
Directly. The person who quotes the job is the person who builds it and the person you can call when it matters. No sales team, no subcontracted finish.
Do you install UPVC doors and windows?
Yes — supply and fit UPVC doors and windows alongside the rest of the joinery offering. Fitted square, sealed properly, weather-tight and finished neatly inside and out. Useful when a renovation needs windows replaced as part of a larger piece of work.
Do you build wetrooms as well as bathrooms?
Yes — full wetrooms from tanking and drainage through to tiling and joinery, alongside conventional bathroom builds. The joinery (vanities, panelling, concealed storage) is done in-house rather than subcontracted, so the finish matches the rest of the room.
Do you do fencing and decking?
Yes — garden fencing and timber decking are part of the joinery offering. Timber stocks chosen to weather well in Scottish conditions, posts set properly, fixings sized to the load. Often paired with a wider renovation.
